Alyah Salma Kanso

Alyah Salma Kanso is an intersectional environmentalist dedicated to advancing climate justice and sustainability.

They lead decarbonization initiatives and manage the Golden State Warriors' commitment to the UN Sports for Climate Action framework.

Kanso has developed programs addressing social and environmental justice, such as the food recovery initiative "Pass the Plate" and a tree equity project in San Francisco neighborhoods with low tree cover. They also co-founded the Climate Collective in 2023, fostering employee engagement in sustainability. An advocate for blending culture and community for positive change, Kanso champions water conservation, sustainable transit, and green partnerships.
